Rui Madeira Beyra Natural Biologico

£25.50

This wine shows a very fruity nose with wild fruits with discreet, nuances of flowers, smooth, wide, and persistent palate with freshness and very soft tannins. In order not to interfere with vinification, this wine was fermented and then aged in cement tanks until bottling. The grapes are selected from old biological vineyards in the parish of Vermiosa in Beira Interior, from various red varieties that always showcased parameters such as alcohol content, acidity, colour, structure, and smoothness of the wines to be obtained.

Ideal with beef roasts, Iberian ham, and cheeses.

It could be said that Rui is the torchbearer for the ancient, highland wine regions such as transitional Douro and Beira Interior. He has renovated old properties which he believes show huge potential in showcasing authenticity of terroir and grape variety. A driven and focussed winemaker of this bunch, Rui is a champion for the extremes of the Douro Superior and the higher altitudes of the Beira Interior, his homeland. His wines have purity and definition and energy.
