Intense aromas of cherry, chocolate and raspberry with some fresh herb undertones is immediately apparent along with great freshness and smoothness.<br> Named after the fortified castle that the Ricasoli family owned for many centuries, it also pays homage to history with its elegant label that shows the coat of arms of the original branch of Brolio. The grapes are fermented in steel tanks for two weeks and ageing takes place over 8-9 months in tonneaux.
