Kaiken Brut

Argentinian sparkling white

£16.50

This wine has a bright appearance with a delicate golden hue and fine bubbles. Its nose features green apple, pear, buttery notes, toast, and a hint of almond. On the palate, it is refreshing, balanced, and has vibrant acidity with a long finish. The wine spent two years on the lees to enhance structure and complexity.

Kaiken, founded in 2002 by legendary Chilean winemaker Aurelio Montes, is a winery that bridges the Andes between Chile and Argentina, producing exceptional wines from Mendoza and the Uco Valley. Known for its focus on Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, Kaiken has revived old vine Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and pioneered the growth of Cabernet Franc in the high-elevation Uco Valley. The winery’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in its B-Corp certification. Kaiken’s wines, including the award-winning 'Obertura' and traditional method sparkling wines from the Gualtallary sub-region, showcase the region’s potential to produce top-quality, complex wines. In 2024, Kaiken was named ‘New World Producer of the Year’ by the Sommelier Wine Awards.
