Deep red colour with flavour of red-berry fruits with a coffee hint. Concentrated palate and soft tannins with a lingering finish. Using the best grapes using the Appassimento technique, followed by a fermentation in stainless steel for about 10 days, the wine is then aged in oak for 10 months.
Ideal with grilled meat, cold cuts and cheeses.
Enrico Marcato was born into the world of wine at his family home, the Marcato winery in the Veneto region of Northern Italy.
After many years of working alongside with the family, Mr Marcato studied Winemaking and Viticulture in Milan. In 2001, he spent 3 months at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, California and 3 months in Australia at Wynns Winery in Coonawarra. After graduating in 2003, he became the Chief Winemaker at Marcato which was the start of Marcato wines
making an appearance in the international market. In the meantime, Enrico Marcato shared his skills in winemaking and marketing so he spent over 3 years working with Issyk winery in Kazakhstan with the aim to train and rebuild the reputation this winery had in the past. Nowadays they are considered to be the best winery in Kazakhstan. Not long ago at the end 2014, he stopped his cooperation with Marcato in Roncą and launched in 2016 a new concept,
a new vision of what wines can be: Family of Wine; all the wines brands mr Marcato have created since 2004 were grouped in this new company which showcase the authentic roots and tradition of the Veneto region.
