Domaine Faiveley Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay
£27.95
This wine is made entirely from Chardonnay with a brilliant pale green and yellow hue and notes of white flower including Jasmine and Orange Blossom on the nose. Bold and generous, this Bourgogne Blanc is well balanced and full of flavours of lemon and honeysuckle supported with subtle buttery notes. The wine is matured for 8 to 10 months in our cellars in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Part of the cuvee, which varies depending on the vintage, is aged in oak barrels. These barrels come from high-quality barrel-makers and have been rigorously selected for their fine grain and light toast.
Ideal with fish terrine, fish 'en papillotes' (in foil) and white meat.
This Burgundian domaine has been a family estate for nearly 200 years. Erwan Faiveley, 7th generation, took the reins in 2006 from his father when he was only 25. They have earned their reputation as one of Burgundy’s finest and most trusted, with an unparalleled selection from the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise totalling over 120 hectares. Domaine Faiveley vinifies its Bourgogne Chardonnay from grapes grown in the domain’s vineyards as well as selected grapes and musts from its partner winemakers.
