Macon red wine is fruity and supple on the palate, despite having a lovely smooth tannic structure. On the nose, after the initial spices, characteristic of the terroir, the fruit aromas are bananas and jammy red fruit.
Ideal with charcuterie, cheese, and stews.
The family farm was created in the 1950’s and at the time it was more focused on mixed farming, raising livestock, and working a few parcels of vines. By the late 1980’s, it had gradually switched to viticulture and took over several small vineyards in the villages of Royer and Mancey, and the Domaine expanded to the size it has today, around 26 hectares.
The wine estate has been certificated HEV since 2019 and for several years now the team has favoured healthy winegrowing by working the soil, providing natural green cover for certain vines without any insecticidal treatment and without any rot prevention. Their goal is to reduce the impact of farming practices on the environment as much as possible, and supply a healthy high-quality finished product to consumers.
