DeLoach Vineyards Pinot Noir

£35.95

Aromas of raspberry coulis, red plum, strawberry, and baking spices on the nose. Dried cranberry, Alpine strawberries, and sweet/tart cherries on the palate of this 2020 Pinot Noir which has a medium body with an outstanding texture, fine tannins, bright acidity, and a long finish. Russian River Pinot Noir is vinified in open-top wood fermenters and then aged in French oak for 12 months (primarily second, third and fourth use). The grapes were predominantly hand-harvested from the certified Sonoma Sustainable BCD Vineyard, the sustainably farmed Heintz Vineyard and the Organic and Demeter Certified DeLoach Estate. Each of these Russian River Valley Vineyards contribute their unique complexities to the final blend.

Ideal with pork, salmon, mushroom based dishes, duck, venison, and rich vegetables.

DeLoach Vineyards pioneered Pinot Noir wine growing in the Russian River Valley when Cecil DeLoach, a firefighter from San Francisco with a passion for winemaking, first planted the vines in 1973. DeLoach Vineyards, located in the heart of Sonoma’s renowned Russian River Valley, is a pioneering producer of award-winning Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel wines. The winery has over 45 years of experience experimenting with the perfect combination of soil, rootstock, and clones, resulting in a history of producing high-quality, eco-friendly wines. In 2003, the Boisset family brought their sustainable winemaking experience from Burgundy, France, to California’s Russian River Valley and replanted the estate vineyards with cover crops to revitalize the soil. In July 2008 we were awarded our organic certification by the CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers), and the team is committed to the application of biodynamics practices, in fact, in December 2009, Demeter granted the estate the biodynamic certification.
