Famille Carabello-Baum is a family-owned wine estate in Burgundy, France, led by Michael Baum and his wife, Julie Carabello. In 2014, they became the fifth family to own the historic Château de Pommard, a renowned estate dating back to 1726. Their acquisition marked a significant shift towards modern, sustainable winemaking practices in the region. The Famille has made a strong commitment to sustainable and biodynamic practices at Château de Pommard, they have transitioned to organic farming and, by 2019, achieved full organic certification. Their biodynamic approach goes beyond organic, incorporating natural farming methods that consider the rhythms of the lunar calendar and promote biodiversity. The vineyard works with minimal intervention, allowing the unique terroir of Burgundy to express itself fully in their wines. This philosophy not only respects the environment but also aims to produce wines that reflect the true character of the land.
