Meinklang Epic Frizzante

£15.50

A progressive new biodynamic frizzante with delicate bubbles, light and refreshing. Unfiltered and therefore intentionally cloudy with intense grapefruit flavours and ripe nashi pears with a dash of natural sweetness. Epic is spontaneously fermented after the harvest and carbonated before bottling, so it is not a Pet Nat, but an uncomplicated sparkling wine - with epic drinking flow.

Ideal with salad, light dishes, and raw fish.

Notes: This wine is deliberately unfiltered so may appear cloudy.

Meinklang is an original, family-run mixed farm, set in the middle of the World Heritage Site of the National Park Neusiedlersee, on the Eastern side of the Neusiedlersee Lake, bordering directly on the Hungarian lowlands, where life’s diversity and complexity are celebrated. On their family estate, Meinklang, inspired by the biodynamic theories of Rudolf Steiner, created a totally self-sufficient agricultural and winemaking project that works in perfect harmony with nature. Their vineyards are surrounded by natural ponds and cover crops of wild grasses and herbs. But the real pride of the estate is a herd of Angus cattle that provides manure as fertiliser. This is why the bottle’s labels have a picture of a cow.
