Atlantic Brewery Wildflower Honey Ale

Cornish Beer

£3.95

A beautifully rich amber ale suffused with Cornish wild honey. Well bodied biscuity malt supports floral nectar flavours. This is a lovely version of the traditional Braggot.

Since 2005 Atlantic Brewery produces only premium quality real ale that is naturally brewed and certified organic by the Soil Association. Based in Treisaac Farm, just a few miles from the beautiful North Cornish coast near Newquay and the spectacular Atlantic Ocean, it’s here that the team grows some ingredients, including Cornish Green Fuggle Hops, garden fruits and fresh herbs. At Atlantic, making beer-making processes as eco-friendly as possible is the main goal. Beer takes quite a bit of energy to produce. To help alleviate this, the brewery has a solar array which helps provide some of the base energy requirements. Atlantic also reclaim the heat from the boiled wort as it is cooled going to the fermenter, in order to have hot water/liquor ready for the next brew. The spent grain and hops are composted and then spread on the hops each year. Growing some of the ingredients helps to reduce the transport of ingredients coming in. Lightweight glass bottles are used, as well as paper labels and minimally printed cardboard boxes rather than shrink-wrapped cases.
